Founder and Executive Consultant
My journey is rooted in a passion for transforming organizations through strategic, equity-focused initiatives. Since 2009, I have led nonprofits, expanded crucial youth programs, and overseen substantial grants. As a nonprofit CEO and strategic planner, I specialize in navigating the complexities of mission-driven work, ensuring impactful growth.
In 2025, I launched my consulting practice after spending three years with New Profit, where I served as a Partner on the Portfolio team focused on economic mobility. Prior to New Profit, I was the Executive Director of Hoffberger Family Philanthropies, a Baltimore-based family foundation focused on economic mobility and children’s mental health. During my tenure, I introduced participatory grantmaking to advance racial equity and cultivated a portfolio that funded 75% leaders of color.
Before that, I led the Montgomery County Collaboration Council for Children, Youth, and Families in Maryland, funding public–private partnerships to provide Out-of-School-Time (OST) and Opportunity Youth programs. At YES Prep Public Schools in Texas, I oversaw OST programs, student recruitment, and parent engagement.
Earlier in my career, I worked as a management consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton and Deloitte Consulting, served as Chief of Staff to a Member of Congress from New York, and was Policy Director to a Member of Congress from Massachusetts. I began my career as an Associate with the venture capital team at the law firm Edwards & Angell, LLP in Boston (now Troutman Pepper Locke, LLP).
I earned my JD from Columbia University and a Master’s in Education Leadership from the Broad Center (now part of Yale School of Management). I completed my undergraduate studies at Howard University and pursued additional studies in nonprofit leadership at Harvard Kennedy School. I currently live outside Washington, DC with my wife and daughter.
